The Fall 2012 Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics House of Delegates (HOD) convened October 5 and 6, 2012, in Philadelphia. The HOD was charged with providing feedback on the Academy’s Public Health Nutrition initiative and the Visioning Report. The discussion centered around the implementation of both the initiative and the report. Amendments to wording in the ACEND and CDR function bylaws were also presented. The results of the motions that came from the discussions are reported below. A more in depth report is found in the HOD Fact Sheet.
A simple majority of the voting delegates determines the results of a motion. One-hundred four of the 104 delegates eligible to vote did so. This represents a 100% voting rate! Two delegates (At-large: CDR and At-large: ACEND) declared their non-voting status as HOD members.
