Pauline Williams will be presenting at the Thursday morning break-out session on Academy Scope of Practice for RD and DTRs: A Tool for Determining Competence and Advancing Practice. Pauline has been an Assistant Teaching Professor and Dietetic Internship Program Director at BYU since 2010. She has ventured into various scopes of practice in her time as a dietitian including consulting dietitian, clinical nutrition manager, extension services, instructor, and senior auditor for the Office of the Legislative Auditor General.
Pauline has published journal articles, book chapters, multi-media materials, and abstracts on a variety of topics. She is currently the UAND Let’s Move Coordinator as well as a member of the Health Services Advisory Committee, Centro de la Familia Head Start; State of Utah Division of Occupational Professional Licensing Certified Dietitian Board; Utah Department of Health, Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Obesity School Workgroup; and member of the Utah Action for Healthy Kids Core Committee.
As you can see, Pauline has been active in dietetics at the local and national levels, having also served as UAND President and Legislative Coordinator and currently serving on the Academy’s Scope of Practice Subcommittee at the national level. Her varied participation in dietetics and contributions on this particular subcommittee will give her valuable insights and speaking ability for her Thursday morning break-out session. Hope to see you there!
